| Saturday's cleanup: Dusting off family archives! |

In the dense programme for the second weekend of Photomonth in Krakow, don’t forget about the unique social campaign we’ll be hosting on Saturday as part of our dedicated block on collecting. “Dusting off family archives” is a campaign carried out by the Archaeology of Photography Foundation as part of the Fotorejestr programme, addressed to everyone who has family photographic archives, and so, in fact, for everyone.

| Rafał Milach wins in New York! |

 Rafał Milach – photographer, member of the curatorial board of this year’s ShowOFF Section (protégés Bartłomiej Lurka and the duo of Thomas Liboska and Michał Jędrzejowski) has won a slew of awards on the New York Photo Festival, including the most important: the Jury's Choice Grand Prize for In the car with R. In addition, the project received an Honorable Mention in the category Book Project for In the car with R. Milach also won first prize in the Advertising category for his clothing campaign for House.

Three, two, one and... off we go with the exhibition Madeleine Sante at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow (MOCAK). At 18:00 the grand opening is scheduled for this new prestigious Krakow exhibition space – a contemporary art gallery built totally from scratch.

Following in the footsteps of the main themes of this year's Photomonth, today we invite you to the next steps in both the intricacies of self-publishing and collecting.
Today's events begin at 16:00 at the Academy of Photography, where, thanks to the knowledge, passion and experience of Ela Żubrowska, those signed up for the workshops will explore digital imaging and the prepress process. This is the second meeting of the “DIY Book!” workshop cycle.

We’re catching our breath after the opening weekend of the 9th Photomonth in Krakow Festival. Although nearly all the exhibitions are now open, we’re not slowing down! On Thursday, you can come to the opening of the last Alias: Madeleine Sante, which is at Krakow’s newest exhibition space: MOCAK. The grand inauguration of the new museum is scheduled for Thursday, and we’re thrilled to be part of the great event!

| Photomonth in Krakow 2011 – The First Monday |

Behind us are the marathon of receptions and vernissages for the ShowOFF Section. Although those three days were tense, we have no intention of slowing down the pace.
The first Monday in this year's Festival starts with Artur Wabik. All of those encouraged by Bruno Ceschel idea of Self Publish, Be Happy we’d like to welcome to Gallery Camelot at 16:00 for an introductory lecture on self-publishing.
At 19:00 we begin screenings of films about photographic celebrities.

| What a weekend! |

 We’ve survived the weekend with the openings of the Main Programme exhibitions whose curators are Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin. We have the winner of this year's sittcomm.award competition – Maroš Krivý. We were also delighted to welcome you to the numerous vernissages for artists from the ShowOFF Section.
