The Jury of My[photo]Space Contest - Inga Schneider, Roman Babjak and Mikołaj Długosz - and the festival organizers have chosen 17 projects Finalists, that will presented in May at the Photomonth in Krakow OFF Programme 2009.

Mikołaj Długosz on behalf of the Jury:
The jury had no trouble choosing the best works from those sent in to the competition. The only problem was with the number of works submitted. These numbered in the thousands. In spite of the quantity, we did this quickly – in the space of two days. In fact, the quantity might have reduced the difficulty, because what we decided on really stood out. Of course, we regretted having to cut out some good photographs, but this was the nature of our job. I will admit that this choice was often subjective. Each of us: Inga, Roman and myself, had very different favorites, but the compromise seems to have worked out quite well. On the other hand, we were well aware that we were choosing works for the OFF Program, and not for a competition for the best, most experienced artist. Each of them does have something extraordinary, however, something worth taking into account. Please remember to enjoy yourself while looking at these works. And to keep track of the winners in their future projects.
