There are only hours left before the 9th Photomonth in Krakow Festival passes into history. As a reminder, the experimental idea of this year's festival, bearing the title Alias, is an attempt to answer the question of whether it’s possible to abandon the ego and enter the biography of someone else. This year, the Festival’s Main Programme was entirely devoted to the concept of the heteronym. What’s more, all these exhibits were especially designed for Photomonth. We won’t discover anything about the artists themselves beyond the biography created for the purposes of the exhibition. 

This is the last weekend of the 9th Photomonth in Krakow Festival – and with it the last meetings dedicated to photography, the last chance to view any remaining exhibitions and the last joint events! Let’s spend this time together!

During the final weekend, come and see us at the Festival Office at ul. św. Tomasz 17 in the Camelot Gallery. From today until Sunday, anyone who hasn’t yet managed to buy our festival books can catch up. For the whole weekend, we’re selling the Guide (10 zł) and Alias (49 zł) at promotional prices – and both books as a set for 55 zł until the end of the Festival! Come and see!

Photomonth in Krakow and Radiofoni invite you to MFK’s last weekend! On June 11 at the Manggha Centre of Japanese Art and Technology in Krakow the last party of this year's Festival will take place, and at the same time the latest edition of radiofonia receive will be broadcast featuring stars from the Ninja Tune label. Eskmo and King Cannibal will be on stage. 

We are delighted to announce that Ula Klimek, this year's winner of the ShowOFF Section at the 9th Photomonth in Kraków Festival, took first place in the BZ WBK PRESS FOTO 2011 Competition in the Society category.

The literary Alias, presenting the fictional biographies of the artists, and its complement – The Guide to 9th Photomonth in Krakow Festival – don’t exhaust the list of books we’ve published for you this year. The Festival Office is presenting a set of exceptional photobooks by the ShowOFF Section winners: 25/25 by Bartłomiej Lurka, keikoku by Karol Kaczorowski, Don’t Mess with Texas by Tomasz Liboska and Michał Jędrzejowski, I forgot where it was by Yulka Wilam and Voice On by Piotr Zbierski. 

We’re about to begin the Photomonth’s penultimate weekend. Time is passing, so if you want to see the remaining exhibitions, the forthcoming days will provide the perfect opportunity. We encourage those who want to see as much as possible to read the map with all the locations holding the festival exhibitions and plan their photographic adventure.
